High Usage Notifications

Water Usage

EJ Water members can now enjoy the benefits of their smart meters like signing up for text alerts for unusual water usage and checking your day-to-day water usage online!

Please note that this is a large project that we are in the process of implementing for all EJ Water members. It will be a few years before we get all of our members updated to this metering system. Any new EJ Water members will automatically have the new metering system installed.

Only 10% of EJ Water members that have access to a smart meter sign up for high water usage notifications.

However, 100% of members sign up for high usage notifications after they experience their first leak. Don’t wait until you have a leak - sign up today!

SIGN UP FOR HIGH USAGE ALERTS

To set a Leak Alert, use Safari or any supported web browser to go to https://eyeonwater.com (Eye on Water is your customer portal on the Beacon site you visited above), sign in, and do the following:

  1. Click the Set Leak Alert button in the upper left corner. The Alert Configuration Wizard for your meter opens.
  2. Set the expected flow type for your meter by choosing Intermittent Flow. (Continuous flow is virtually never expected in homes, so we advise against choosing this option.)
  3. Click the right arrow to move to the next step.
  4. Set a maximum flow threshold. An alert will be sent when flow exceeds that threshold for 24 consecutive hours.
  5. Click the right arrow to move to the next step or click the left arrow to go back one step.
  6. In the Add Email box, type the email address of the person you want to receive alert notifications and click the plus (+) sign. Repeat this step for all the emails addresses you want an alert sent to.
