Beginning October 1, 2020, there will be a$1.20 processing fee when using a debit or credit card for payment of your water bill.As processing companies increase their fees, the Co-Op has decided to no longer cover this fee for the members who choose this form of payment. While some utilities will build this fee into the rates of all members, we believe it's best to only charge the fee to the specific credit/debit card users.
Please Note:
- $1.20 fee will be implemented starting October 1, 2020.- EJ Water does not keep any part of the convenience fee. The fee is charged by a third party processor contracted by EJ Water to provide credit card processing services for members.
- These changes are in line with standard practices at other utilities.
- The fee will be present every month if you choose to pay your bill with credit card.
- No processing fees will apply to payments made by ACH, check, or cash.
