Funding- Congratulations to everyone at EJ Water! The USDA-Rural Development announced that they have funded Phase 18 (Holland Water Plant) with $8.824M. August 29, 2007 was a significant milestone for the history of our Cooperative culminating with the Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Johanns, presentation of this check at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur. Construction - This summer construction has begun on E J Water Phase 20 in Greenup, Sumpter, and Crooked Creek townships in Cumberland County and Grandville township in Jasper County. The contractors have started in Grandville Township and hope to continue on to Sumper, Greenup and Crooked Creek Townships, as long as the weather cooperates, hopefully finishing with construction in the winter 2008. Cleanup for the project area will be in the Spring 2009.
Payments – The E J Water Office is open 8AM to 4PM Monday through Friday. Payments can be made in person at the Dieterich Office during office hours. There is also a drop box located to the left of the front door for after-hours payments. Payments can be made over the phone using credit or debit cards or checks. The First National Bank of Dieterich and its branches, including the Newton IGA, Lake Sara Branch, or the National Trail Branch in Teutopolis, along with the Sigel Community Bank and Teutopolis State bank can also accept payments.
